House of Delegates
Districts
The House of Delegates consists of 100 members. Each member represents
approximately 63,000 citizens. Reapportionment of House districts occurs
every ten years. With each redistricting (the last time being in 1991),
the geographic size of the districts in Southwest, Southside, and the Shenandoah
valley get larger while the more urban area districts multiply and increase
in density.
